How To Get a Tutor

When you have a question but don't want to meet with a tutor you may post it to the forums by clicking the create new post.

Fill out each box correctly to assure that you get a tutor that can help you. In the last text box add specifically what you want help with within that subject.

Once you book your tutor you will get a confirmation email with a link to 4 Microsoft teams rooms. Make sure you join the right room, it will be listed in the email and chosen during booking.

How To Use Forums

When you have a question but don't want to meet with a tutor you may post it to the forums by clicking the create new post.

Write the title as your question and then describe the class or assignment further with words or a photo. Click publish and select the appropriate category.

Step

You may respond to any post, up or down vote answers, and once an answer is verified to be accurate it will receive "best answer." You may also directly reply to other responses.

In the bottom right corner is a chat button where you can directly contact any member. Also a great place to create group chats for projects or classes.

Messages will be listed with an option to send a message to DiploGrad support directly. To send a message/create group click "new chat."

To access your account click your name in the top right. From here you can change your display name, profile picture, edit privacy settings, and update contact info.

If you would like to change from private member to public or vice versa, click profile visibility. Must be a public member to post in forums.

Virtual Tutoring Steps

Tutors need to add the shifts app and right click to pin it to your Microsoft Teams.

All available tutoring opportunities will be posted to "open shifts" with a description of what they need help with, what time, and what room to meet in. (In person locations will also be listed with school)

Once you find someone you would like to tutor you may request to reserve that spot. Once approved it will be added to your schedule.

When your meeting is about to begin (1 min prior) the tutor will start a meeting in appropriate room and wait for the student to join.

There is a whiteboard function that can help in providing a visual. Both the tutor and student will be able to see what the other is drawing/writing. Be sure to erase everything for the next group.
